Almost 20 years ago, I came across James Victore for the first time, and his work hit me like a bolt of lightning. It was bold, raw, and unapologetically expressive—everything I didn’t know design could be. I remember staring at it and thinking, "Holy shit, people actually make a living doing this?!" His hand-drawn style, vibrant colors, and fearless messaging planted a seed that would shape the way I approached my own work as a designer.

Fast forward two decades, and there I was—spending a weekend with James, in his home, camera in hand, documenting him doing what he does best—inspiring others. It was surreal to witness up close the same passion and creativity that first set my own career into motion.
