The Metro - Chicago, Chicago / Riot Fest Late Night Aftershows

This summer, I had the chance to photograph a band that has been a massive part of my personal soundtrack for years—Spoon. As part of the Riot Fest Late Night After Show series, I not only photographed the show but also spent some time with the band. I’ve been to several Spoon concerts, but this was the first time I had the privilege of photographing them. In a packed venue at The Metro in Chicago, Illinois, they played one of the best shows I've seen them play, and I was lucky enough to capture it.

The night was electric and, for Spoon fans, a little bittersweet. It marked guitarist Gerardo Larios’ final performance with the band—a show heavy with emotion. The energy in the room, the band’s presence, and the weight of that milestone made the shoot unforgettable.
